Make fall chrysanthemums a staple in your garden

Blog Contributed by David West

Are you looking for a flower that exudes the feeling of Autumn? Our favorite fall flowers are mums. These beautiful flowers come in all shades of your favorite fall colors, ranging from deep oranges, flushed reds and bright yellows. Fall chrysanthemums will make your landscaping it’s most beautiful before the cold, brown months of winter set in.

Along with their beautiful colors, the best part about mums is that, in our mild winter climate, they tend to be cold-season flowering plants – meaning you can enjoy their presence even when the weather turns colder. Did we mention that the blooms in the fall last for weeks, not just a few days? These plants are the ultimate cold weather flower.

Not only are mums beautiful, they’re also very versatile. They look great as a fall foliage in the ground or as a container plant on your front porch. Spreading fall chrysanthemums around your home, especially in your front yard or scattered around your backyard will make your home seasonally decorated and freshly fragrant, as well!

If you are interested in adding mums to your fall landscaping, all you have to do is contact us at Great Estates Landscaping. We love to share our knowledge with all of our clients and if you have any questions, be sure to let us know. After answering your questions, if you’ve decided that you would like to add mums to your home for the fall–we can help with that, too!
